One workflow for two list

Hello:

Is there a possibility to have one workflow and use it for two list. For example, I have a workflow1 for list A and the document A has been approved, in list 2 Can I use workflow 1 ? If I can use the workflow1, then if I upload a document A, will I see the status as 'Approved' ?

What I am looking for is that once the document is approved via certain workflow and if user upload this document on their MySite document library then they should know by uploading the document if it has been already approved or not somewhere else.
