I have reviewed these threads brelow but it does not help resolve my issue.
I have added a discussion board to my sharepoint. When users post a reply, I do not want the reply form to contain the original post text. I have seen some instructions to hide the "Quoted" Reply link in the completed reply post the link does not appear in the resposne, and I have already successfully done this, but this is not my problem. The original text and user info appears in the reply form, and this is not desired.
I have seen some various code from other threads and I have attempted to past this HTML in both a web part, and after that did not work, by editing the master page HTML in Sharepoint designer, but I am not successful.
I would appreciate detailed instructions on what code to paste into a WebPart or SD New Form Advanced Edit to stop this from happening.
It would also be appreciated if someone can explain how to change the default font and text size/color for the message board, as the standard Verdana 8pt is not desired either, however, I do not want to change this for the entire site, just the discussion board.
Removing quoted text and changing default font are such simple requests, why is there no simple settings to do this? Thank you for your help.
