I'm looking for assistance in a workflow that I can't get to update items consistently. Due to security restrictions I only have access to our site via SharePoint designer and not developer access to our site directly.
We have multiple forms from different sites (Site A) that all upload to one sharepoint library (Site B). As a form is updated in one of any of the specific sites, we need it to find the corresponding item in the tracking library. What I currently have set is as the form is created in Site A, the GUID is populated in a field. Then as form is approved, it makes an instance on the sharepoint library in Site B the GUID from Site A is populated in one of the fields for reference. Then if any update is made on the form in Site A, a workflow set up to Update Item in Site B searching the field (in site B) for the GUID (from Site A) to reference which item to update.
This process seemed to have worked for a couple months and then now none of the updates are occurring and I am getting ERROR OCCURRED on the work flow stating it can't update the item. Any assistance or suggestions for a better work around are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
