SharePoint Designer Workflow not sending right email

Hi All,

I have a very simple workflow associated to a list which can be started manually and when Item gets created.

Start Approval process on Current Item with department1

If Variable: IsItemApproved equals Yes
Start Approval (2) process on Current Item with department2

Created an Item1 & item2. Department1 approved item2 first. Department2 approval process started for Item2 (as was supposed to) but the email has all the Current Item:Title and other field details from Item1.

This is so weird. Item1 workflow status is still In Progress as it is still pending with department1. How can an approval process which got kicked off on Item2 has Item1 details?

I tested the above scenario by creating a new list. That works properly. 

Does anyone has any pointers to troubleshoot this?
