Hi there,
It seems as though if you elect for a list or library to be added to the quick launch when you create them then the menu retains the list/libraries security settings and isn't displayed to users who haven't got access. However, if you manually add the list/library into the quick launch then the /libraryName/Forms/AllItems.aspx link is always displayed and the users who haven't got access just get a access denied page. Of course the simple solution is to just select 'yes' to add to quick launch when originally creating the list/library, however my real issue is adding web part pages to the quick launch as this isn't an option so therefore the link will always be displayed.
So does anyone know a way of maintaining the security trimming when adding links within the site manually to the quick launch?
Thanks
