CQWP - Only show Date, not Date and Time.

I've been able to make the appropriate changes to have the CQWP show both Title and DateTime for the news pages.  The problem is it bring back both the Date and the time : 2009-04-20 00:00:00

Is there a way to get this to only show the date, and perhaps formatted as Month-Day-Year?
