I have a pretty complex SPD workflow that is attached to a list where order requests are submitted. It basically goes like this: New request is submitted, email is sent to manager to approve, they go in and approve. Email is then sent to my group. We assign the first analsyt that needs to approve and an email is sent to them. They approve and assign the lead analyst and an email is sent to them for approval. The lead approves and the request comes back to my group for processing.
This system has been working just fine for the last month or so and then last Friday suddenly got hungup. I am not sure why and at first thought it was because I had the workflow open because I was reviewing how it was set up. It doesnt look like this is the case because the hang up happened 4 hours later.
I have noticed this same hangup with very basic SPD workflows that I have on other lists for updating dates based on the status.
I found that I need to go in to SPD and "refresh" the workflow to get it to start working again....is this normal?? Should this be done on a regular basis??
