Can someone explain me if it is possible to filter a content query webpart based on the value of a Page field.
I want to get the following done:
Make a Page layout in Sharepoint Designer.
Add a Content query webpart as a control in the pagelayout file.
The Content query webpart shows a custom list.
The content query webpart must be filtered.
Option 1:
Can I filter based on a metadata field of the Page ?
How do I get the value of the metadata field into my Content query webpart ?
Option2:
Can I filter based on a Page Field that exists on the same page as the Content query webpart ?
How do I get the value of the PageField into my Content query webpart ?
Option 3
Are there any other ways of dynamic filtering the content query webpart?
And without coding your own controls ?
