I currently have Sharepoint 2007 and I would like to create a customize alert for a particular column in a register.
These fields are in one of my registers that I want the alert for:
Business Owner
Business Assignee
Business SME
If the content of these fields are sourced from Active Directory can auto alerts be set up so an email is sent when any of those items is updated?
I have tried doing this by creating a new view and setting the alert for that view only but it didn't work.
The only other way I could think of is to create a workflow but I am not sure how to do it.
