I am working on a sharepoint project where I have a list named "Hardware List" with three columns: 1.Hardware Name (Single line text)-Already populated
with data 2.Hardware Specification (Multi Line Text) -Already populated with data 3.Hardware Price (Number). -Already populated with data So this list basically contains all the hardware required and its specification and its price, so it basically is a small
database, almost 300 rows. I have another List named "Select hardware" and this contains the same 3 columns as well but with different data type: 1.Hardware Name (Drop down)->It's data source is the Hardware list column Hardware Name 2.Hardware
Specification (Multi line text)->It should populate based on the selection of Hardware Name and its data source is Hardware Specification from Hardware List.
3.Hardware Price (Number)->It should populate as well based on the selection of hardware Name and its data source is Hardware Price from Hardware List. E.g I select HP mouse from hardware name, after selection its specification should come automatically in Hardware specification and its price should also come in Hardware Price. I tried everything to make it work but the fields do not populate, I tried cascade drop down, I tried to make it work through Sharepoint workflow, I tried Query lookup but it simply does not work! If someone has a solution then I would love to hear from them.
