missing space (" ") in the email of workflow

Hi all,

I add this url in the body of the email trigerred by SPD workflow:
http://site.domain.com:22122[%My Cases:URL Path%]

the rendered result is
http://site.domain.com:22122/My Cases/CCH-1095-K5BDZ6/bla bla bla.xml

the hyperlink above is correct. Then i add <a href> </a> around the url so that user can open the hyperlink directly from the email.
<a href="http://site.domain.com:22122[%My Cases:URL Path%]">click here</a>

the rendered result is
http://site.domain.com:22122/MyCases/CCH-1095-K5BDZ6/bla%20bla%20bla.xml

this rendered result is wrong. the space (" ") between My and Cases is missing!

Any body know what it might be wrong?
